St Thomas Knocking off 15-0 St Marks Blue in the Semi Finals
Down by 10 with only about 4 minutes remaining, Head Coach Dave Kuebler Sr also know as Coach K of St Thomas went to
the drawing board and switched his defense to a 1-3-1, which would end up leading his team to the championship. St Thomas
also held Regular Season Mvp Joe Snydman of St Marks to only 2 points and getting him in foul trouble early. This was one
of the biggest comebacks of the season, nothing was going right for the Titans for 3 quarters and then with little time left
and the season on the line they came up back and Mvp Runner up Jim Domzalski showed why alot of people think he is the MVP
hiting clutch shots down the stretch.
St Marks Blue going undeafted during the regular season
This is something that alot of people thought couldnt be done, but the lions from bristol did it. Some may say they had
a soft schedule but they won each game 1 by 1. Led By Joe Snydman and Alex Cherry they were able to go 15-1 all togther falling
1 game short for a chance to play for the Championship.
St Charles going 4-10
In all fairness to the knights there best player left to play for a different school. But this team still had alot of
talent with Steve Carroll, Brian Handratty and Kevin Mcgonagle. But they only managed to pick up 4 wins. This was a elite
8 team from a year ago and 2 points away from being a final four team. Drew Carroll last years coach most of saw this coming
when he left after last season to take the Bensalem High School Girls Job.
St Thomas Golds Major UPSET of St Ephrems in the Playoffs
The Junior Titans barley got in the playoffs getting the last seed. No one gave this team a shot to beat St Ephrems and
i mean no one. But a 3 point shot with about 10 seconds to go gave St Thomas Gold maybe the biggest upset of the CYO season.
Grace White's 30 point victory vs St Mikes Green (at St Mikes ) in the playoffs
When word got out the 2nd round was going to be played at St Mikes, Grace was in disbelieve, being 12-2 in the regular
season and Mikes being 11-3 they were the higher seed but yet St Mikes got the Home Court, in one of the toughest gyms to
play in, in the state of PA. But in this game it was all Grace from the tip as they took a 22-4 lead at the end of the first
quarter and never looked back. St Mikes teams and fans were in shock this was happening and before they knew it time ran out
with the score board reading 66-36 and their season was over.
St Marks White (2-12) upsets Holy Trinity (8-6)
I dont think anyone saw this coming. St Marks White struggled all season but on this night they shocked cyo nation. Holy
Trinity didnt come to play and they were embarassed on this night in bristol. Lets just say it was a long trip back to Morrisville.
St. Franics Cabrini Red getting in more fights then wins
When Bill Taylor quit after the first game, the cabrini cardinals knew there playoffs hopes were slim to say the least.
And then when they were 3-7 seniors Dan Friscia,Phil Vancherri, John Chapman, Brian David, and Roger Young had enough.
They got into fights with St Andrews Blue and Black and even had a game end early because it got to out of control. It was
pretty much prison rules out there when they took the floor and they let those junior teams from newtown know it
